Redesigned the website for the department HKU Master of Social Sciences in Corporate Environmental Governance, which has now revamped their department to Master of Social Sciences in Sustainability Leadership and Governance Programme (SLGP).

The process will vary from different projects and will be determined by many factors such as the project goals, business needs, complexity of the problem, time and etc.

UX Design

User Centred Design

The challenge was to design an website that appealed to potential students to enrol on the university’s courses. By designing on the basis of the information, making it accessible and easy to intake.

The solution was to build wireframes and mockup designs based on the topic of the webpage for the persona and target audience. The goal was to communicate important details to the audience efficiently and retain attention span through user experience design.

My role on this project was to collaborate with the project manager. To segregate the information into consumable amounts with design principles for good user experience. Designing for the user’s practicality, allowing the functionality of navigating through the website conveniently. All whilst to avoid the standard lengthy text web style.

UI Design

Design connection

The challenge was to design based on the given house-style of the course and university. To convey information and bring out the meaning of ‘academic’ and ‘environmentally sustainable’ in the design of the website.

The solution was to research on websites and graphics with a similar genre of topic. To analyse university and academic resources to create prototypes, by experiment on different gradients of similar colours for contrast and highlight for the colour theme. The goal was to make information easy to access and communicate in edible sections retaining attention span through user experience design.

My role on this project was to lead the design of user interface to make the aesthetics to represent the university and course department. To ensure the images aligned with the text descriptions and typography, buttons, UI elements were enforced by the house-style.
